Three Ways to Work Together
Whether you're looking for a second opinion on existing quotes or support managing a more complex renewable energy project, I offer three levels of independent support designed to meet you where you are in the process.
My services
Clarity
Designed for homeowners who have already obtained solar, battery or heat pump quotes from installers but would like an independent expert to help them understand the options.
Once you've received your proposals, you'll send them to me for review. I'll assess the recommendations, equipment specifications, system design, assumptions and pricing, identifying any key differences, omissions or points that may require further clarification.
We'll then have a 60-minute consultation to discuss the quotes in detail, explore the pros and cons of each option, and consider how well they align with your property, priorities and budget.
Following our consultation, you can return to the installers with any questions or requests for refinement, before we meet again to review the updated proposals. Once revised quotes have been received, we'll have a further 30-minute follow-up call to discuss any changes and help you determine your next steps.
Included:
Review of up to three installer proposals
Independent assessment of system design and recommendations
60-minute consultation (review of quotes)
Opportunity to seek revisions or additional information from installers
30-minute follow-up consultation to review updated proposals
Independent, unbiased advice with no commissions or ‘secret’ referral fees from installers
Fixed Fee: £150
Guidance
Designed for homeowners who want independent support before approaching installers.
We'll begin with a 60-minute consultation to understand your property, priorities and objectives and establish a clear brief before any quotes are requested.
We'll identify installers whose approach, reputation and way of working align with your priorities, and ensure the companies invited to quote are a good fit for both your project and your expectations.
I'll then manage the quotation process on your behalf, ensuring each installer is working to the same brief.
Where installers require a site visit before preparing a proposal, I can attend alongside you or on your behalf. Being present at this stage helps ensure important details aren't overlooked, and each installer develops their proposal with a consistent understanding of your requirements.
Once the quotes have been received, I'll review them and we'll then have a 60-minute consultation to discuss the recommendations, trade-offs and considerations specific to your property.
Included:
60-minute initial consultation - in person or phone / video call
Development of a clear installer brief
Identification and management of suitable installers
Attendance at installer site visits where appropriate
Collection of up to three proposals - with up to three site visits
Independent review and comparison of proposals
60-minute recommendation and decision-support consultation
Independent, unbiased advice with no commissions or referral fees
Fixed Fee: £495
Oversight
Designed for homeowners undertaking more complex renewable energy projects, including larger properties, multiple technologies, phased installations, listed buildings, second homes, estates, or projects involving multiple sites.
Designed for more complex renewable energy projects that require ongoing support beyond the quotation stage.
This service is particularly suited to larger properties, three-phase installations, battery storage systems, EV charging infrastructure, multi-technology projects, second homes and multi-site portfolios.
As your independent advisor, I can provide technical guidance throughout the project, review proposals and specifications, attend site meetings, coordinate with installers and contractors, and where required, provide project management support through to installation and commissioning.
Because every project is different, Oversight is delivered on a bespoke basis and tailored to your specific requirements.
Could include:
Initial project consultation
Technical review of proposals and specifications
Attendance at site visits and meetings where appropriate
Coordination with installers and contractors
Ongoing independent advice and decision support
Project management support where required
Independent, unbiased advice with no commissions or referral fees
Fee: Tailored
“Unlike an installer, I don't sell systems, work on commission or receive referral fees. My role is to provide independent, unbiased advice, helping you understand your options and move forward with confidence.”
